During a show for the Harry Styles: Live on Tour, Harry stated he wanted the song to be a single. It was soon confirmed that "Kiwi" will indeed be released as a single on October 31, 2017.
Critical Reception
Variety writer Eve Barlow stated: "Like something of a one-two punch, “Kiwi” picks up from “Only Angel'”s amped-up guitar grooves, bettering the banger that’s just lodged itself in your hips. The lyrics seem weirdly like a new take on the concept for Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”" [1]

The music video was released on November 8, 2017. It was filmed at Wimbledon Chase Primary School in South West London and was directed by Us. The names of the children who appeared in the video are as follows: Aimee, Alfie, Amelia, Aron, Bailey, Darmani, Elena, Evie, Faith, Finley, Grace, Grace, Himat, Imani, Isabella, Jacob, James, Jesse, Joseph, Kaia, Layla, Lukas, Maisy, Mimi, Molly, Naomi, Olivea, Oliver, Olivia, Ori, Poppy, Rafi, Ruby, Sheldon, Tamika and Teddy. Actress Beau Gadsdon also appears in the music video as the lead child.
